How To Make the Best Cold Brew Coffee at Home - Easy!

by Ryan Schnetzler

Cold brew is one of the smoothest, least acidic methods of brewing coffee. The only negative being the time it takes to brew (18-24 hrs).

All you need is:

-Coarsely ground coffee of your choice

-A large container (I use a large mason jar or a stainless steel soup pot)

-Room temperature, filtered water

-Usually 3/4 cup of coarsely ground coffee to 4 cups of water is solid starting point but it is dependent on personal preference of course. You can double, triple this depending on batch size.

Just combine and stir the contents together and let sit in room temperature for 18-24 hours. Typically I filter the concentrated cold brew multiple times, once in a larger particle coffee filter to remove the larger grounds, then once through a paper filter to remove the finer particles.

Dilute 50/50 with cold water and enjoy! It is far less acidic than hot brewed coffee and far smoother, even black!
